Cross-stitch portrait of Nikolay Gres

Here is a cross-stitch project I am doing of Nikolay Gres. It isn’t quite done yet. Of course I used the photograph to assist me, but the design and color choices are my own. I know there are computer programs out there that allow you to upload a JPG and it calculates the colors and makes a pattern for you, but that isn’t my way! I did it manually. Consequently, I’ve been working on this ever since January: the design, and the stitching, which I actually started two other times and abandoned because the color choices weren’t right yet. But I’m very excited about it. 🙂 Please let me know what you think.
